Websites for Landscapers and Snow Removal on the South Shore
What a landscaping or snow removal business needs on its website: both seasons, the towns you cover, and a quote form that books the work early.
A landscaper's website has to sell two businesses: the summer one and the winter one. Lawns, gardens and stonework from spring to fall. Snow clearing from the first storm to March. Your site should show both, name the towns you cover, and make it easy to get on your list early.
What customers search for
In spring: "lawn care Bridgewater", "landscaping Mahone Bay", "garden clean up near me". In the fall: "snow removal Lunenburg", "snow plowing contract". The same customers, two different searches. Your site should answer both.
What your site needs
Both seasons, clearly
Split your services in two. What you do in summer. What you do in winter. Put the season that is coming at the top, and change it twice a year.
The work you do
Mowing. Garden beds. Hedges. Stone walls and patios. Spring and fall clean up. Plowing. Shovelling. Salting. List the jobs in the words your customers use.
The area you cover
Name your towns and your routes. Snow clearing especially depends on where you already drive. "Bridgewater, Cookville and Wileville" is more useful than "the South Shore".
A quote form that books early
Ask for the address, the job, and a phone number. For snow, ask for the driveway size. If your snow list fills up, say when: "Snow contracts for this winter close in November." A date makes people act.
Photos of your work
Before and after photos of gardens, walls and patios sell the summer work. For snow, a photo of a clean driveway at 6 a.m. says enough.
Proof
Reviews from customers in towns your next customer knows. How many years you have been at it. That you are insured.
What to skip
- A gallery of every lawn you have ever cut.
- A site that still shows snow clearing in July.
- Prices that depend on things you have not seen. Give a starting price, then quote.
Getting found
Set up your Google Business Profile as a service-area business, with your towns, both seasons of services, and photos. Ask customers for reviews at the end of each season. Getting on Google Maps shows how.
A small site that changes with the seasons is all most landscapers need. I build sites like that for South Shore businesses for $500, with no monthly fee. See the offer.
Questions landscapers ask about websites
Should landscaping and snow removal be on the same website? Yes. It is the same business and often the same customers. Show the season that is coming first.
When should I start advertising snow removal? Early fall, before the first storm. Most people want it sorted before they need it.
Should I put prices online? A starting price helps, like "mowing from" a set amount. Most jobs still need a look before you quote.
